Hello Sardinia

We left our sea-legs in San Diego.

Corsica Sunrise

7:30 a.m. . . leaving Bonifacio Corsica. Heading to Sardinia. This is our farewell from above.

rain in bonifacio

Our first day of gloom . . .

Marina Di Cavu

Our final nights in Corsica were spent at the luxurious Marina di Cavu in Bonifacio. In all our hotel reviews, never have we seen boulders in the room!! This is innovation.

Tight Tunnel

Our innocent attempt to visit old town turned into a "are you kidding me?!!" moment.

Beeping = Fear!

We cannot reverse. We can only move forward. The walls close in and Marlise begins to panic. The beeping by the way, is the sound of our Mercedes warning us that we are about to make contact with a static object.

So not a 4 lane freeway!

During the midst of our exploration, we wound up in the heart of old town Bonifacio which is apparently designed for pedestrians, fiats, smart cars and scooters only!

For the Birds

It takes very little to amuse us . . .this moment is for the birds (and Ethan and Anna who love wildlife)!

Bonifacio Picnic

As our last stop in Corsica, the old town of Bonifacio welcomed us with sunshine and a perfect place to have an afternoon picnic.

oui oui love it here!

Je voudrais faire cette excursion a Sartene . . .oui (we) oui (we) love it here!

Darling Sartene

If Sartene were a person, she would be the cutest little thing in the entire world!

Welcome to Sartene

On our way to Porto Vecchio, we visited the charming town of Sartene.
Note to self . . .consider retiring here.

Porto Vecchio Hotel in Porto Vecchio

After two incredible days at Le Maquis (including a game of tennis!), we drove 3 hours south to Porto Vecchio. We were greeted by the owner of Hotel Rio Theodore who invited us to dinner followed by a morning tour of the local markets.
