We made it!

The hike paid off. We made it to the top and had a great little lunch while soaking in the snow covered peaks.

Marlise's fear of heights was challenged during this vertical climb up the mountain.

Total Isolation

Unlike most hiking trails in the States, these mountains were void of hikers and direction. All we had to guide our way were yellow paint markings on the side of rocks.

Our hike to the alpine lakes in Corte was spectacular and full of many surprises.

Among the many highlights of Corte are the hiking trails through the mountains. On our way to the trails, we encountered a few cows blocking our path.

Our final day in Basita was capped with an exquisite lunch at A Scaletta. The sun was shining and the view was breathtaking!
