La Villa in Calvi

Despite being closed during low season, this luxury resort was opened exclusively for us. The price for our villa . . .$1,400/night. Why do we still feel guilty for eating the peanuts out of the minibar?

Made it to Porto

This quaint village of Porto was the perfect midway stop to Calvi.

Beautiful to spectacular

We couldn't help but stop every 15 minutes to admire the view . . . by far the most breathtaking drive we have ever experienced.

Cliff Drive

The road to Calvi was spectacular. This 2 lane coastal road was about as wide as a bathtub.

fighting goats

During our road trip, we ran into a herd of goats in the middle of the road. These three kept fighting until one was pushed off the cliff. We are NOT in California anymore.

Road Trip to Calvi

We had heard incredible things about the coastal road from Ajaccio to Calvi, but we had no idea what we had in store. It was as if we had stepped inside a postcard.

Marching Band

What better way to start the day than with a marching band at 9 in the morning. Thank you Ajaccio.

unforgettable restaurant

The setting of this Ajaccio restaurant resembled an outdoor village, with a "starry sky," dim lanterns, window shutters and a small fountain where you could fill your water jug. The best part was the live music . . . so romantic.

Ajaccio, Corsica Hotel Review

Still fighting jet lag, Ben and I were exhausted after a day of travel. By the time we arrived at our first hotel, it was 5 p.m. . . so, we slept for 15 hours straight!!!

We'd like to thank our sponsors

After a rough day of travel, we were pleased to find that the Corsican tourism board arranged for us to have a mercedes rental car for a week!

wine tasting and soccer in Dijon

While on our press tour in Dijon, our wine tasting event was interrupted due to the excitement of algerian and french soccer fans.
